How this site handles analytics and contact details

Analytics

If you accept analytics, this site loads Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, pages viewed, device and browser details, and traffic sources. If you decline, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded.

Consent is stored in your browser so the site can remember your choice on later visits.

This site also uses Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., the site's hosting provider, to measure aggregate visits. It runs regardless of the Google Analytics choice above, does not use cookies, and does not track visitors across other websites or applications. For each page view it may record the page URL, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location (country, region, and city), browser, operating system, device type, and a timestamp.

Instead of cookies, Vercel identifies a visit using a hash created from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours, so the data is not tied to any individual or IP address and is used only for aggregated statistics. This data is not sold or shared beyond Vercel processing it on my behalf. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Contact form

The contact form on this site sends email through a server-side delivery provider and forwards your name, email address, subject, and message so I can respond.

Trading newsletter

The signup form on the Trading page collects your name, email address, and an optional note about how you plan to use the briefing. Those details are emailed through the site's delivery provider to garrett@ggit.dev so you can be added to the list. Garrett then follows up by email about the $5/month subscription. This information is not sold.
